You can heal and grow. I can collaborate with you through life's challenges and changes... including anxiety, stress, and more. Providing a non-judgmental space as you explore your thoughts and feelings to discover your inner strength and resilience.
Caitlin believes that Psychotherapy and Coaching are a wellness journey. She is passionate about holistic health. Caitlin stands by the fact that change does not "magically" occur overnight. There is often adversity, resiliency, and grit on the growth path- which is required to build for more tolerance and transformation to occur. Therefore, Caitlin’s approach is not to "fix you." She is warm, creative, humorous, and authentic. Inviting you into this as well. Leaving any “perfections” behind. To explore who you are naturally intended to be is part of her philosophy. She believes that clients should “come as they are.” Having a genuine connection and safe space during their sessions. Caitlin welcomes the full human experience of emotions. From laughter, and crying, to even celebrating “small wins” (growth) during working together.
Caitlin enjoys continuously learning. To expand her knowledge and expertise, further education is often through CEU coursework, additional readings, podcasts, conferences, seminars, speaking engagements, workshops, and training. Additionally, connecting with fellow Mental Health Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Doctors, and Healthcare workers in this broader field. She often engages in consultations and groups. Further advocating for Mental Health Awareness. Tailoring her competencies or client-centered advocacy work primarily on the clinical needs of her current clients/population she regularly sees.
Whether this is your first time or coming back to sessions after taking some time off... you will be "starting" for the first time in this season of your life with your new Mental Health Practitioner. It is helpful to know that before starting it is normal to feel "worse" before feeling "better." This is common and even expected in your course of Therapy. Due to "unpacking" and processing (deeper) thoughts, feelings, behaviors, relationships, and patterns. Those that have previously been overlooked, avoided, or unknown.
Psychotherapy via Telehealth encompasses phone, audio, and video formats for appointments. Currently, I offer remote sessions for residents in the state of California. For anyone unable to meet in person, I use HIPAA-compliant secure platforms for Telehealth (phone, audio, video). Psychotherapy sessions are an interactive experience where we discover your goals, passions, and potential growth areas. To help you travel down a path to the life you want.
The length of Therapy uniquely depends on several factors- based on the complexity of your goals, presenting concerns, and consistent openness to your process. Standard therapy sessions are 40-50 minutes. Longer or double sessions can be possible or recommended. Especially for any crises, or couples/family therapy. Initially, I recommend meeting consistently once a week for the best growth.
I kindly ask for a 24-hour cancellation notice. All payments are processed securely online. Please note that fees must be paid in full. Except for a 24-hour cancellation notice. A late cancellation or no-show fee will be charged if there is an un-communicated “no-show” or late cancellation beyond this 24-hour policy.
Great question! Please contact me directly to discuss session fees and (potential) sliding scale options. Noting that I am primarily an out-of-network provider. Therefore, I can offer you a receipt (called a superbill) summarizing your appointments which you can give to your insurance for reimbursement.
Additionally, I do provide limited availability for insurance clients. At this time I do work with Alma and Headway for a few insurance needs. Feel free to contact me for further details and if any openings.
To receive out-of-network reimbursement, I can provide you with a superbill. You can submit this directly to your insurance provider. I recommend calling your insurance provider first to see if they will accept this (out-of-network/superbill) and their specific reimbursement process or policies. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card. Once approved, please let me know how often you would like to receive your superbill- weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Thank you!
